RTITB Instructor Training Conversion

CONVERSION CANDIDATES (3 OR 5 DAY)

The duration of this conversion course is variable (3 days or 5 days) depending upon the type and currency of qualifications.


This training course has been designed to provide an entry route to RTITB registration, for those experienced lift truck operator
instructors who have qualified by one of the following means:


Currently registered (or expired up to a maximum of 12 months ago) via one of these accrediting bodies; AITT, ITSSAR, NPORS –
minimum 3 day course.


Currently registered (or expired up to a maximum of 12 months ago) as an RTITB LGV/ICI instructor – minimum 5 day course.


Military/Fire Service with a suitable, current and appropriate material handling instructor qualification – minimum 5 day course.


Currently registered (or expired up to a maximum of 12 months ago) as an:

  • IPAF instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach – minimum 5 day course
  • LANTRA instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • CITB/Construction Skills instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • ALLMI instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • LEEA instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • PASMA instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • ROSPA international diploma in advanced instructor and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • ROSPA international master training and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course

Holders of the following qualifications:

  • PTLLS and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • CTLLS and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • DTLLS and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
  • Award in Education & Training and a certificate of basic operating skills issued within the last 12 months for counterbalance/reach– minimum 5 day course
